Best of 2017

2017 was a big year for the Carr household. 

We celebrated 2 years of marriage. 

We bought our very first house. 

We took a well needed vacation to Canada. 

We brought home another fur baby. 

And we found out that we're having an actual baby! 

But my favorite moment in 2017 was when Chris found out that he was going to be a dad - and here's why..

I knew that when I told Chris that he was going to be a dad that I wanted it to be special. So I waited  to tell him. I waited an entire week to tell him actually - which turned out to be one of the hardest things I've ever done. I'm a terrible liar. And when something wonderful happens in my life I immediately tell Chris, so keeping this huge news from him was nearly impossible. But I knew that it would be so worth it when I finally told him.

I reached out to a photographer in Fort Collins and told her my vision. I told Chris that a photographer had asked us to do a shoot featuring married couples that had met in Fort Collins - and he believed me. We spent over an hour at Horsetooth Reservoir taking pictures, and at the end of the shoot I gave Chris a letter that I had written telling him that I was pregnant. We have spent the final months of 2017 celebrating and preparing for this next crazy chapter of our lives and we are so grateful for everyone that has been a part of it with us.
